House+House=City

Architecture studio project at UCSG, individual work

2016

In the Ecuadorian city of Pedernales, 25% of the low-density homes were affected by the earthquake in 2016. The project was based on choosing two families with joint land to develop their homes and respond both to their individual needs and the rebuilding of the city. The project proposes a housing module that adapts and expands over time through spaces that can be added according to the economic possibilities of each family.  It also provides the space for economic activities to be carried out (a restaurant and a boutique).
