The research project presents the study of the morphology and dynamics of land occupation to the west of Guayaquil, a territory that will accomodate the future airport. Using demographic data, urban footprint analysis and definitions in the political-administrative division, t he results show Guayaquil as a city in full transformation . From the description of the landscape with its physical, structural and aesthetic attributes, the team overlaps the findings in a series of thematic maps with the use of GIS software.
