Elderly cooperative care

Urban Ecologies studio project at KTH, done in collaboration with Mariia Smoliokova and Jiahin Hu

2020

Today, the elderly care system in Stockholm considers the elderly as care receivers and the municipality as the care providers. The project started by producing a video with a set of interviews, where the experience of Anne Marie, an 88-year-old senior resident, describes her perception of not feeling included in society. The proposal explores the possibility to give and exchange care by developing a soft path designed to consider the elderly’s mobility and along this path locate pockets with various activities of care.
